How to get more traffic using Twitter For Business
Twitter has fashioned quite a media storm recently with a frenzy of subject gurus mentioning Twitter on their TV shows , and Internet marketing gurus telling you, we can leverage Twitter to hundreds of fans , the talk about Twitter is hard to avoid . You probably know people on Twitter and your major suppliers have probably asked you to be their Twitter fan . So the million dollar question is this . What are YOU doing about it for yourself?
A lot of people, actually I think most, don’t even “get” Twitter. And that’s partly because it can be many different things to almost as many people. And to some extent, they may even be all true, at least to that person.
But however you approach your Twitter strategy and there’s a great FREE training video about that at http://www.TrafficHug.com/twittervideo/ but whatever you do, you should be doing something. The smallest benefit will be extra chances for impressions , ideally with some way of people finding you by your keyword, or your name. Some people will just try to type your name on Twitter and see if you come up.
We have other articles on getting targeted traffic, but let’s look at something we can do today A right now We’ll take a more detailed look at conversion tactics but first let’s explore a quick and easy option.
Some business owners limit themselves to thinking Twitter traffic as stemming from Twitter internally . A concept most Twitter directories encourage . But with Twitter , the advantages of having your existing traffic subscribe to you on Twitter are enormous . So enormous that we need to start integrating immediately .
One thing we can do almost immediately is to add a Twitter “badge” to your web properties . It’s simply a graphic showing who you are on Twitter with a link to your Twitter page. In the videos I mentioned earlier , they go in to how you extend that concept , but we’ll stick to just the badge for now .
WHERE CAN I CREATE MY TWITTER BADGE?
You can get your own customised Twitter badge without spending any money from here ;
http://www.TwitterDominator.com/followme_badges.php - FREE Customised Twitter FollowMe Badges .
You simply paste the HTML code it provides in to your website, store, or blog and your customised graphic with active link, will magically appear .
It also works on Wordpress blogs. I’ve placed one on all my blogs.
The Badge is housed in its own code block so should reside easily almost anywhere.
You can create an HTML table or div layer to house it, then you can just paste the code in easily . With WYSIWYG html editors, there is usually an HTML “object” box you can place in the desired location and just place the code in to that. Adobe Dreamweaver users can just insert an AP Layer (from the insert menu) and then paste the code in to that using the HTML code view pane.
The rewards from promoting your own Twitter profile are immense. From SEO to relationships to direct sales.
